Diwali, The festival of lights that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every heart was celebrated at G D Goenka Public School, Indirapuram on 22nd October 2022. Decorated in vibrant hues, the school had an ambience of joy and happiness.
To add charm and religious fervour to the atmosphere, the school organised an array of activities such as Lantern Making, Candle and Diya Decoration, Diwali Sweets (Cooking without fire),Toran Making, Pooja Thali Decoration, Floral Decoration in a water bowl, and Rangoli Competition etc. The children showed great zeal and excitement and their innovative ideas in decorating the things were amazing. They exhibited their creativity to the best of their abilities and decorated their classes.
To imbibe social values, sharing and caring, and bonding with cultural roots, a Diwali Carnival-‘The Joy of Giving’ was held in the school premises. Exotic stalls of eatables and Exciting games stalls put up by the students were enjoyed by all. Music corner added joy to the Diwali Carnival. Such carnivals connect us with each other and develop a sense of appreciation and respect towards the culture and history behind the festivity.
The activities permeated the school premises with an atmosphere of togetherness. Our Goenkans resplendent in their innocent festive cheer were the true greetings for the Diwali festival indeed!
